- The 8-inch (20.32 cm) capacitive display with a maximum resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels is made of Corning® Gorilla® glass and is therefore particularly shock and impact resistant – it can also be operated with wet, dirty fingers and gloves. It is supported by a Qualcomm 2.0 GHz octa-core processor with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory (expandable via microSD).
The RG910 is IP68 certified and therefore resistant to dust, water, shocks and temperatures between -20 °C and +60 °C. In addition, it is drop-resistant up to 1.2 metres on concrete in accordance with the US military standard MIL-STD-810G. The tablet comes in an extremely robust polycarbonate plastic frame with rounded corners. With the RG910, the development team in Germany has placed particular emphasis on creating the perfect companion for industrial applications such as measuring, control and testing technology or the operation, maintenance and repair of machines. For this reason the RG910 it’s an ideal tablet for those environments that require a device that can take it all.
From logistics warehouses that would benefit from a device dust protected, to vehicle repair centres that can use the device while wearing gloves, RG910 is suited to these environment types.
And needed to quickly connect to colleagues on a video call, its integrated LTE module and the 5 MP front camera will get you on-line in any situation.
Various sensors such as G-sensor, gyroscope, air pressure, humidity, temperature and magnetic sensor complete the equipment portfolio.
Despite its extremely robust housing, the RG910 offers almost the same dimensions as a regular tablet: with 232 x 156 x 22 mm, it can be used both mobile and permanently mounted at the workplace. In addition to the USB type C port, proprietary magnetic charging connector and 3.5 mm audio jack, the RG910 has a 24-pin connector on the bottom that allows the tablet to be conveniently connected to a docking station. Another USB port (type A) allows the connection of external devices or sticks to transfer data to the tablet. All connections are located behind corresponding caps to protect them from dirt and water. The new tablet can handle 802.11 b/g/n WLAN standards. A connection via NFC is also possible. GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS) is integrated for position determination and smooth route guidance.
The hardware function keys M1 and M2 can be used to link shortcuts to defined applications or files, so that functions that are needed again and again are immediately available. The integrated SOS key allows the user to store an emergency number, which establishes a connection at the push of a button in an emergency and guarantees fast help. The RG910 is prepared for both Push-to-talk (PTT) and solo worker protection. An 8 MP camera is integrated on the back of the device and a 5 MP camera on the front.
